In general, I started off seeking to portray universal concerns through the use of objective subject matter. This all changed when I came across some old and compelling family photos. "Aberdeen Proving Grounds" was my first conscious excursion into using my personal subjective experience to address my concerns about human nature. This resonated as a much more effective and satisfying approach and has become the basis of much of my work. | Linda 1989, Oil on Canvas | Letalin 1990, graphite and Colored Pencil | Blue is for Boys 1990, Oil on Canvas | As Above So Below 1990, Graphite | Aberdeen Proving Grounds 1990, Oil on Canvas | Colonel Aureliano Buendia 1991, Graphite & Colored Pencil | Spurr 1991, Graphite | Ginger 1991, Oil on Canvas | |
