This period was one of experimentation both in terms of materials and subject matter.

In general, I started off seeking to portray universal concerns through the use of objective subject matter. This all changed when I came across some old and compelling family photos.

"Aberdeen Proving Grounds" was my first conscious excursion into using my personal subjective experience to address my concerns about human nature. This resonated as a much more effective and satisfying approach and has become the basis of much of my work.
